our upcoming show has changed. Please note the :
The Hilltop At Briarcliff
( a very large office building between U.S. 169 and 9
Highways )
at 1251 NW Briarcliff Parkway in Kansas City, MO
Take the Briarcliff Parkway exit west off of U.S. 169 HWY. It is just off the
highway. It is very visible as it is the highest point around. It is a very
nice office complex on top of a hill overlooking the city. We will have many
signs and banners directing everyone to the new location. The times and
activities will all remain the same - only the location has changed.

Rough
schedule follows:
·
Saturday – Registration
9 thru 3 PM and full event schedule. Loud exhaust competition, Hot Wheels racing
(for kids of all ages) are firm, and the list will grow as we get closer.
·
Sunday
– Full show schedule with awards at 3ish. Echo things from
Saturday, but start the day with a worship service at the pavilion, if
that’s your inclination, and end by showing your approval of other entrants
by staying through the awards ceremony.
Other
nice to know at this point:
·
All judging (except for Best of Show) is peer evaluation; every
entrant gets a ballot and votes for their favorite in each category. We will again have participant voting this year. The
classes will be best looking Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler, AMC and Truck with
1st, 2nd and 3rd places awarded in each category.
· Best of Show will be open voting. Each vote requires a cash donation and money collected through this process will be given to the Victory Junction Gang. Representatives from Victory Junction Gang will be available at the show on Saturday to answer your questions and accept donations. We will encourage stuffing this ballot box.
· The park is adjacent to the Argosy Casino property and it is renowned for its hotel accommodations. A Super 8 is also nearby, but both book early, so plan accordingly. There are many other fine hotels in the area from which you might choose, but same book early advice applies.
· For those inclined to travel, we generally do not completely cancel due to weather. Instead we’ll move show vehicles from the grass onto the tarmac at the park and adjust activities from there. (Cut and paste “eh young riverfront park, riverside, mo” into your favorite mapping program for an overhead view.)
· During show days, we’ll also have arranged a storm shelter where participants can retreat if necessary.
· We have arranged for 24/7 armed security in the park during the event. While camping in the park is not permitted, leaving your rigs parked overnight should not be a problem.
