Brief description of how you came to own this car and little history on it :

I purchased from the original titled owner in Butte, Montana, May 2000, with 54,000 miles. Truck was in very solid, rust free condition and only needed light bodywork, mild refreshing and paint to bring back to its full glory.
Before titled, the truck was the daily driver of the Dodge dealer’s wife in Butte. They got into an argument and he sold it out from under her with 1,300 miles showing. During this first part of it’s life, she apparently smacked something with the left front corner that bent the core support and both fenders as it passed down the side of the truck. My guess would be that she hit a dear.
The gentleman who sold it to me used it for three years as his daily driver and as he headed into winter of the third year decided he really needed something with 4WD. He tucked the truck away in the garage, hoping to restore it at some point. Before that point arrived, he loaned the truck to his step-son who promptly beat the truck. All of the damage on the vehicle when I purchased it can be attributed to the carelessness and lack of appreciation demonstrated by the young man. If you’ve seen me driving this truck before my recent rectification, you know how much it had been abused in his hands.
I’ve been using it as a truck for the last 6 ½ years, hauling mulch, furniture, etc. It has served me well and will continue to do light duty – with appropriate bed floor protection – as long as I keep it. Now that I know how easy it really is to work on, the prospect isn’t so daunting.
